Covid-19

Current Lockdown Rules

These are the rules that currently apply to us here in Bewdley:

  • You must not meet socially indoors with anybody you do not live with or have a support bubble with
  • You must not meet socially (in a private garden or at most outdoor public venues), with anybody you do not live with or have a support bubble with
  • Hospitality settings, such as bars, pubs, cafes, restaurants, and social clubs must close except for takeaway, delivery and click and collect services
  • Accommodation such as hotels, B&Bs, campsites, holiday lets and guest houses must close
  • To help contain the virus, everyone who can work effectively from home should do so
  • Where possible, you should stay local and avoid travelling outside your local area, meaning your village or town, or part of a city

Easing of Rules & Restrictions

The following rules are subject to change and any decisions will be a minimum of five weeks apart, and will be guided by whether the government’s “four tests” are being met, including the vaccine roll-out going to plan, and no surge in hospital admissions.

12 April, 2021

Restaurants and pub gardens will be allowed to serve customers sitting outdoors – including alcohol; customers can meet in a group of up to six people from different households; a maximum of two households can meet to form a group of any size.

Unless a specific exemption exists, these must only be attended/used in line with the wider social contact limits at this stage – as a single household or bubble indoors; or in a group of 6 people or 2 households outdoors.

Outdoor areas at hospitality venues (cafes, restaurants, bars, pubs, social clubs, including in member’s clubs) can reopen, including for takeaway alcohol. These venues may allow customers to use toilets located inside. At any premises serving alcohol, customers will be required to order, be served and eat/drink while seated (“table service”). Venues will be prohibited from providing shared smoking.

17 May, 2021

Hospitality venues can seat customers indoors; parties can be made up of a maximum of six people or two households of any size; groups seated outside must be smaller than 30 people.

21 June, 2021

All restrictions will be lifted, and nightclubs will be allowed to re-open.

Our General Do's and Don'ts

We have done our very best to make sure our pub is Covid-19 secure, we have taken our time to clean from top to bottom and we would like it to stay that way. With that in mind, here are a few steps we are asking staff and customers to follow, to keep us all safe.

  • It is table service throughout, but we do recommend customers using our new wesbsite, to order and pay at the table
  • Please don’t queue for the toilets!
  • All dogs must be kept on leads and away from other customers
  • We love you being here, but stay at home if you are feeling unwell. We reserve the right to check temperatures if we suspect someone is not well
  • Do not move any of the tables and chairs and please do not get up, unless leaving or using the toilet
  • Wash your hands frequently, there are censored hand gel dispensors throughout the pub including entrance and exit
  • Please respect the social distancing rules and each others space
  • Please be patient with us, everything we are doing is for your safety as well as ours
