The Mug House Inn & Restaurant in Bewdley, Worcestershire

Dear friends

You might know that I had the pleasure of starting my stewardship at The Mug House in November and it has been a pleasure to serve you all.

I have always maintained that a great pub should always be the social hub of the community it serves and we hope to carry on with that tradition whilst I remain the custodian of your pub for many years, I hope.

However, these are unprecedented times, and it is likely the new normal visit to your pub is not as you might expect and I anticipate you will be sympathetic and understanding of all the changes that we are going to have to make; your safety and enjoyment of your time with us will always remain our priority and we will ensure that we stick to the guidelines set for us by the government and for that reason we have decided to open on Tuesday the 14th of July to ensure that the pub is safe for you all.

Alas , there are no templates to get this right and we will learn as we go along: I ask that you bear with us we do get the right formula.

Moreover, we also need to try and make your pub financially viable and guarantee its survival for many years to come; some of the changes we have made are reflected in that and we hope you can be supportive hence forth whilst these changes are implemented.

We have remained busy during the closure and with all the planning almost completed and in readiness for the opening, we now look forward to welcoming you back and we wish for nothing more than your support for the changes we have made both to the aesthetics and the offer (snippets of the new look and offer coming very soon). We are very excited about it all and we hope you will be too.

In the meantime, if you have any questions don’t hesitate to message me via email or do call me at The Mug House.

Keep well and keep safe
Hossey
